Our company is totally dependent upon the operation of its telephone system and computer system. When one of the systems goes down, the other is affected and the company comes to a standstill. So it is very important for us to have a phone system which will interface well with the computer system, and a company which fully understands the interfaces.

Within our price expectations and the installation was seamless

The phone service provided to Ladies of Charity was within our price expectations and the installation was seamless. The availability of a technician to brainstorm future needs and existing issues has always been timely. As a nonprofit we run on a tight budget, but have seen the investment of the phone system pay back. We are able to provide our callers with three different lines and business functions for messages. When we installed the elevator, we worked together to find solutions for phone/emergency service with the alarm company.

Foothills always meets or exceeds our expectations

I can say from experience that Foothills always meets or exceeds our expectations. For example we had security cameras installed at our locations, not only did we get what was required but we also got a few upgrades because the price of the equipment changed. We have other vendors that perform the same services, but we chose to give our business to Foothills Netcom because they deliver professional results.

Any time that we have an issue they are always helpful in resolving them. Most of the issues that we had were due to power issues and end users playing with the settings on the paging equipment.

Nevertheless, it’s always nice to be able to call or email them and get support in a reasonable amount of time, especially since we have limited support at our sister location.

My advice would be not to settle for less as it can cost you more in the long run - you get what you pay for. Foothills Netcom does very good work and can be trusted with your business. We would rather pay a little more to have peace of mind when something goes wrong.

Support is crucial in running a business. When equipment is having issues you want to get it resolved as quickly as possible. Having a company to support our systems keeps our downtime at a minimal. Foothills Netcom has provided great service for us.

Foothills always gave me fast, courteous and friendly service

When you pay for less expensive and sometimes less qualified consultants, there is a risk that they will not have sufficient knowledge about your wiring behind the scenes. If there is already existing wiring there, it can interfere with the setup among other things.

We experienced two cheaper consultants prior to using Foothills who left over quite a bit of mess that we weren't aware of because it wasn't obvious to us. In addition, hooking up our various lines to individual offices became more of an issue making sure which wall switched worked and which didn't because of all the leftover mess from another provider. The same goes with the set up. You can pay for someone to come in and basically install the system but you are always going to have questions and issues the first few weeks in something you didn't think of, etc. We never once got charged an additional customer service fee based on any change we made or didn't think of on our end even though it was our fault. Foothills always gave me fast, courteous and friendly service and took the time to understand what I needed.

Nowadays, you almost have to have a full time IT person who handles your phones and computers in a company but that costs a salary and more. Keeping up with programming, etc. takes a staff member who is knowledgeable or willing to learn all the ins and outs and stay up on them too. With the current system we have in place, I could probably do some of what we pay Foothills to do but because I am only one person doing multiple jobs for my company, it's a convenience and service that I can get things fixed which impact our business within just a few hours if not less. Again, could I stop what I am doing and somehow fix the programming myself....possibly. But what else would I be pushing to the side or making less of a priority. Foothills gives me the confidence that I am not leaving our customer or vendor's ability to get a hold of our company behind another priority just because there is only one me and we are trying to save a few dollars each month.

I just called Steve. I had to have someone I could trust and would be here when I needed them.

The system we purchased from Foothills is much more than our basic dial service. I think we got good equipment and customer service for a reasonable price - cheaper is not always better. Our first phone system was cheap but the customer service was not there. And when you’re running a business the phone is a very important part of staying in business.

I am not a phone person so I have no idea how to take care of a phone system, and don't have time to set on the phone and beg someone to take care of us. That's where Foothills Netcom comes in. If I have a concern or an issue I either pick up the phone and call them or zap them an email.

We are a small company with about 12 employees, but it is a very fast past environment and we can't afford to be down, and I can honestly say with Steve and the Gang we have had no problems. We have also got burned in the past so I know what your fears are, the phone system we had before this one the guy put it in, but if there was a problems.

He couldn't come out for a week or so and that is just not acceptable. That’s when I found Steve he came out and fixed the other guy’s problems with no questions asked and that’s why when it was time For a new system I just called Steve. I had to have someone I could trust and would be here when I needed them.

The support we receive from Foothills is excellent

We looked at several options and vendors during our selection process. We found some that were much more expensive and others that were less expensive. Our selection was based on three things. 1. A product that worked for our organization and was scalable. 2. Service and support that we felt would minimize downtime. 3. Price. Foothills was the best in these areas and that is why we are a customer.

The support we receive from Foothills is excellent. It usually only takes a call or email and we get an immediate response and any issues or questions are taken care of.

Foothills deliver exactly what they said they would.

We had used a different VoIP product at one of our facilities several years ago and we not pleased with the product. We found it very cumbersome to use as well as the requirement of ongoing updates that we had to purchase made it very expensive to operate. We were skeptical about replacing our existing non-VoIP system with a VoIP based on this experience.

We looked at several different products (VoIP and Non-VoIP) from multiple vendors for our most recent project. The promised cost, flexibility and ease of use of the Star2Star VoIP made it very attractive to us. I am pleased to say that it has exceeded our expectations. Foothills deliver exactly what they said they would.

I am not a phone expert so we do use Foothills to service/maintain our system and in the few cases that I required assistance I simply called Foothills, normally I called Steve directly and if he did not take care of the issue immediately on that call he quickly found solution and got back to me usually within the hour. The service is excellent and well worth the price based on my prior VoIP experience.

You’re competent, responsive, and understand our environment

When it comes to price, you were actually my most competitive bid on the initial buildout. This made me happy because after meeting with all of the vendors that I did, I thought you were the one who best understood our needs. Your price has gone up significantly in the last six years, but we have not looked elsewhere because you’re competent, responsive, and understand our environment. That counts for a lot with me. On the last project we did, our operations manager wanted maintenance to pull the cable, and I refused, because there’s more to a good cable plant that just pulling the wire. Could I save money by doing that or going to someone cheaper? Sure, but I’d lose the experience that you bring to the table, and I wouldn’t know they could actually get the job done. Track records count for a lot, and I check references.

As far as support goes, we’ve had continuity for six and a half years. You’ve never sent anyone to my site to run a job that hadn’t actually been working out here before. They know where the cable paths are established, know what our preferences are with regard to how we like work done, know what our safety people insist on from contractors, etc. We made the conscious decision when we built this place that we’d never pull cable and that someone like you would maintain the cable plant. I believe that’s worked out pretty well for us, and I’d make the same decision again knowing what I know today.

I got a quote from another company that was more expensive than foothills Netcom. I also got a quote from a company that was less expensive than foothills Netcom. I feel Foothills Netcom is the best bang for your buck. There are cheaper options that offer minimal to no support. If you are a company that already knows how phone systems work and can provide your own technical support (that is NOT us lol) then those cheaper options might work for you. We found that Foothills Netcom has offered us support that is timely and efficient on any matter we have yet to encounter. Their staff has always taken care of us, without over selling based on our company needs.

I am technologically challenged if there is such a word. I have dealt with phone systems before to a degree. Foothills Netcom has provided us the support needed to be able to take care of our needs without us having to take the time to thoroughly research every task. All I have had to do is pick up the phone, or email, and they quickly and efficiently take care of it. Our needs changed on how we forwarded phones and the directing of traffic. I didn't have to spend hours or days working on it, they had me taken care of quickly. When I tried to be efficient and do what I thought was needed and messed the system up, one phone call later it was resolved. No matter how big or small, they have addressed every single aspect of our phones and were friendly at the same time. They will also help educate you to make your life easier.
